Artist Statement and Resume
I want my work to interrupt all entanglements of the 'society of spectacle'; to release through an engaging experience, its hold on our natural vitality of connection and choice
.'

My process involves questioning my own sense of what is real through a wide variety of traditional media and technological tools. My work is focused on finding a new language of connection between the natural world and the social, physical and ideological limitations of the material.

In my installation projects and video performance work, I move into the shadow zone between those worlds to observe and reveal what lies hidden in plain sight. This shadow storehouse, where I act as a 'go between', yields a wealth of obscured information and experiences related to our natural selves. I explore subjects like: forgotten or denied body rhythms, subtle connective ties to earthly systems and all living things, scientifically held truths, cultural patterns of behavior and preference, the nature of memory, cosmological mysteries, land energies and multi-dimensional messages.
This process of creative inquiry helps me access what makes us most delightfully human and allows us to consciously co-create with the Earth. The visual work I produce is evidence of that ongoing vital exchange.
